THE ULTIMATE STORY TELLING BRAND.
We’ve worked with Lowlander from their early years to position the brand and personality, creating the branding, designing the labels, packaging and helping to develop the storytelling across all media.
With one foot in the Dutch pioneering past and the other exploring and inventing new botanical flavour combinations Lowlander have created naturally surprising and delicious beers that each have their own quirky story to tell.
With every can, bottle, coaster or tap lens there’s a story for us to bring to life, whether it’s Dutch inventor Drebbel taking King James I down the Thames in the first submarine or finding out how farmers stop elephants eating crops in Asia using orange groves. We help Lowlander create the story of what has influenced their botanical beer and tell it in an engagingly quirky way, visually and verbally.

Lowlander -

We scooped another medal at the World Beer Awards for the 'Worlds best bottle label design’, for the Lowlander Yuzu & Grapefruit low alcohol beer and they were voted the 'Best Tasting Flavoured Beer in the Netherlands’ at the same awards.
FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE WITH BEER.
Lowlander Cool Earth Lager - Brewing with botanicals Lowlander has always understood the power of nature and being a ‘Low Lander’ they understand the importance of preventing sea levels rising from global warming, so we helped created their first-ever botanical lager which not only tastes fantastic but could also fill the knowledge gap of the importance of seagrass to protect the planet, give 1% of all profits back to the planet and also plant seagrass for every can sold.
Lowlander thought there must be a better way to make soft drinks that can be better tasting, better-for-you, and better for nature - so we worked with them to create a range of botanical sodas that are revitalising, uplifting and refreshing whilst being mindfully alcohol free, low in calories and still 100% Lowlander with a fresh new graphical storytelling approach that stay's memorably on brand.
REINVENTING 0% ALCOHOL BEERS WITH BOTANICALS.
0% beers have always been brewed as an after thought, but Lowlander think differently and recognised that consumers wanted a choice, not a compromise, so we started from scratch to help Lowlander reinvent 0% botanical beers that are brewed to have maximum flavour and packaging design that looks as good as they taste with a story just as bold and inventive with an iconic bar call of all of their own, see below.
Lowlander 0.3% I.P.A - 'Elephants Never Forget'
In Sri Lanka they know it’s hard to dissuade an elephant from, well, anything. Unless you’re a fragrant orange. You see, farmers there discovered that the native elephants really don’t like citrus. So now they plant orange trees to protect their crops from inquisitive trunks. We brew our alcohol-free I.PA. with exotic mango, cardamom & orange peel, which makes it tropical & juicy - & guaranteed elephant-proof.
Lowlander 0.3% Organic Blonde Ale - 'The Butterfly Effect'
In 1699 the pioneering naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian travelled from Amsterdam to Surinam to study her great passion, butterflies. We understand the call of curiosity too. It leads us to wander, foraging in meadows & hedgerows for ingredients like wild elderberry & rosehip for this deliciously light, alcohol-free blonde ale. As Maria knew, the lifespan of the butterfly is short, but a glass of this organic ale disappears even sooner. Curious, isn’t it?
Lowlander 0.00% WIT - 'Drebbels Diving Boat'
When Dutch Inventor Drebbel took King James I down the Thames in the first ever submarine, little did he know he would inspire us with his implausible feats. Our 0.00% Wit beer is testament to this ingenuity, a zero alcohol & zero waste beer that tastes good & makes good use of orange & lemon peel surplus from bars & restaurants. Dive in!
