UPDATING A BRAND TO TELL ITS STORY.
Pukka has always created superb products made from the finest ingredients that are vibrant and delicious to help improve our mental and physical wellbeing. The brand and packaging needed to reflect this and make it stand out on crowded shelves to tell its product story.
The original brand had all the right ingredients but needed an updated design system that could hold the expanding ranges together under one umbrella and make them unmistakably Pukka.
Mutiny Agency founder and design artist Darren Whittington worked with Space Creative to help update the existing brand logo marque to work in a more balanced way, developed a universal design system and holding device that could work across the brand and with any variety of product groups and colours. The basis of these templates are used across the range.
Following the succes of the Pukka tea development Darren also helped create the packaging design for Pukka’s new range of herbal supplements. The final designs took the same aspects of the holding device and iconography created for the herbal teas but simplified it further to create a better use of white space and bold colour which could hold the information required whilst still looking clean, sharp and uncluttered both on-shelf and online.
